There are many ways to minimise the impact of our print requirements, ranging from the relatively simple, to what may seem draconian. ODC is always glad to advise on these environmental issues surrounding production. A few issues are outlined here:

Recycled paper

Just one tonne of recycled paper saves approximately six mature trees and 3.3 cubic yards of rapidly diminishing landfill space.

Where feasible, ODC chooses stocks that contain recycled content and are FSC certified.

Printing

ODC mainly uses printers accredited with ISO standards, that use vegetable based inks and closely monitor their environmental impact.

Lamination

All coatings are detrimental to recyclability, but some are worse than others. Where lamination is required, ODC will opt for biodegradable lamination as a default.
